Greetings from Lanacora NSW.
First and foremost, we would like to express how Deeply honored and grateful we are to be associated with both Dean and Milan, let alone the fact we are now co-owners of such a prestigious and well known kennel. I cannot convey just how much this means to us. We have always looked up to Dean, I have frequented this very site many times and stood in awe of what he has acheived, and what he stands for. It is a dream come true, to actually sit here writing on the very site I so much admired. I am truely lost for words; (For those of you that know me, it won't be an ongoing thing...I will back to my usual self in no time at all....Thank-you for your concern!
We would also like to Thank, Denise Doyle (Helios Kennels) for believing in us right from the very start...It is Denise, that allowed us to have her precious Cody ( Helios Desert Hawk) to come into our lives, along with so many others that she has shared her Pugs with. Helios Pugs have definently made their impression on the Dog World, including the many people within it. But, more importantly they have touched our lives here at Lanacora beyond what words could ever convey.
We endevour to keep the 'Lanacora Pugs' name continuing on with the success it is well known for, and from the benchmark that it has been established. We will treasure the continued input of Dean and Denise (Helios) throughout this time, and look forward to continuing with the name ' Lanacora Pugs'.
'Keeping the Dream Alive'
From the humble beginnings.......
'The Rudder family'
(We) being myself,(Michelle), My Wonderful husband Ian, our 3 precious children and our Pugs currently live in a Coastal town called, 'South West Rocks' NSW. We own a busy little Butcher Shop (Pug heaven to our pugs) in a town called Frederickton, just out of Kempsey NSW. My interest in showing started just over a year ago when I feel in love with my Cody boy (Helios Desert Hawk).I first saw Cody on Dogz online as a youngster, he melted my heart. I felt such a connection with him. I said to Ian, there is something about that boy that is Special, he has a prescence about him that I can't explain. I was in awe of him. He was at that time owned by Denise Doyle (Helios Kennels). I asked Ian to contact Denise and ask her if we could get a pup just like her Cody, as I was absolutely besotted. Denise Doyle made my DAY, MONTH,YEAR, when she allowed me to have her boy.... I am forever grateful to her for allowing me to have him in my life...He IS and ALWAYS will be my Number One..
Since then we have gained some beautiful Pugs from fantastic and well known breeders in the Pug World.. Including another of Denise's breeding Little Izzy girl, (Helios Tempest) and she surely lives up to her name..
My Husband Ian has shown before, and has done for quite a few years. He has had GSP's and Boxers. Ian introduced me into the show world with Dobermanns. As a child we always had Dobe's around and a breed I will always have a soft spot for. Our Dobe's came from Lynne Harwood (Cabachon Kennels). Our boy, Zoom did really well in the show ring, though our bitch Lillea didn't go for it at all. We lost our boy on Friday 13th February 2009, and even writing about him brings a tear to my eye. A truely exceptional dog, still sadly missed, and will never be forgotten. We still have our Gorgeous Lillea, who is ageing gracefully, being spoilt and living it up in the backyard of our Butcher shop.
Our 3 kids are keen little junior handlers, our eldest Jessica who is 12 has her own English Pointer (Bronson) that she shows http://www.lanacorapugsnsw.com/ . Our other two, Jacoba 9 and Josh 8 show our Pugs and do us Proud.
At this present moment in time we are currently renovating an old farm house that is set on 40 acres. It is located just out of the Kempsey township, on the Mid North Coast NSW. I find the setting so peaceful and the landscape absolutely beautiful. I have always loved the farm style life, and my husband Ian, has been born and bred on one all his life. My Wonderful Husband has been building and renovating our new family home, and we are happy to say will be finished within the month....Big plans are being made to design the accomodation, runs and grooming facilities for our 4 legged family as we speak.
Our Pug Accomodation..
We have incorporated a In-house whelping room into our house renovations to enable 24hr care for our bitches and their puppies. Outdoor runs are also available from this room.
Our Pug Kennels will be equipped with Reverse cycle Airconditioning and Ceiling fans, Fully equipped Kitchen, Indoor area's and Outdoor runs (Outdoor areas are equipped with shade sails) and the use of the shady tree's already there, beautiful landscape gardens (as Ian and myself enjoy Gardening), Inside and Outside Show training area, Hydrobath and Grooming facilities.
